A rose by any other name would smell as sweet... sorry we couldn't help it! There are so many names for these adorable succulent roses. About a decade ago Greenovia was reclassified as Aeonium, but most folks still call these tiny succulent roses Greenovia. The common name for these plants are 'Mountain Roses' and they originate out of the Canary Islands. The rocky outcrops of these islands are the only place in the world where these 'Mountain Roses' occur naturally. All of the varieties of roses that we sell are not poached and are grown ethically in greenhouses across South Korea.
There are about five accepted types of Greenovia, each one of these five generally references the individual Canary Island they were discovered in. As more and more farms started to cultivate there seems to be a few hybrids that have popped into the mix as well.
For obvious reasons these adorable lime green mini roses are wildly popular plants. These plants stay in their rosebud shape throughout their dormant season (summer). In the autumn they will slowly start to unfurl as they put on their winter show.
Greenovia are a winter growers, meaning these will not do much during the summer months, they will keep a tight rose shape during spring and summer. Over the warmer weather you should still water your roses once every other week or so, but don't over-water in this period. Once these start to open up with the cooler evenings you can start watering them more frequently, for most regions this would be a good drenching about once week.
This particular listing is for an Aeonium Aurea, which is a bright, lime green teacup rose shape that is usually solitary. Roots will be sparse and most likely dormant when she ships.

How to Request a Greenovia Aurea
After submitting your request(s) please make sure that you have received an email confirmation. If you do not receive a confirmation email we did not receive your request.
When the plant arrives we will send you a link with a little video showing the actual specimen we have reserved for you. If you approve of the Greenovia Aurea we have sourced, then you'll finalize your order and you'll pay at that time.
There is no obligation to purchase, this is not a presale, this is simply a request for us to get this plant in for you.
If you have any questions around the Request process please contact us at email@example.com and we'll get back with you right away.
The succulents we sell are very rare and availability on most of our plants is limited. This Request site updates daily with new inventory as our partner farms make more plants available.
If the plant you would like to request is not available-- don't worry! We'll definitely get it back in again, but we cannot take formal requests until our farms restock.
Text Wait List
Another thing to keep in mind with our requests is our pricing may be a little more than other sites because a lot of our farms have minimum order amounts and many times we will have to put in a minimum order at the farm to secure your request.
How Long Does the Request Process Take?
Once your plant arrives you will get an email with a link to view your plant and from there you can checkout if you are happy with what we have sourced. If we are unable to obtain a quality specimen we will email you by Day 30 and let you know if we need to cancel the request.
- USPS Priority Mail $10 (Flat rate, per box. Transit times are not guaranteed)
- UPS $14 (Flat rate, per box. Transit times will be 2-3 days.)
If you would like to use a Cedar Creek Farmhouse gift card you may use that when you complete your order (after approving your plant).
We also reserve the right to cancel requests from folks who abuse our Request platform (i.e. requesting numerous times, but never purchasing the specimens we source). We want you to find the perfect plant, but please remember we are a small business and we are doing our very best to match folks with their wish list plants. If the plant we source doesn't strike your fancy then you are under no obligation to make a purchase, but please be mindful that we do have to purchase these plants from our partner farms when you make your request. Just be respectful and only request what you intend to purchase.
If you are a new customer requesting a large number of plants we may email you to verify your requests before procuring the order.
If you have an open request and found your plant somewhere else-- absolutely no worries! We are all collectors and we share the passion for these plants with you-- we get it! If you could give us a heads up we'd greatly appreciate it. Just send a quick email to: firstname.lastname@example.org with the email subject line containing the words ‘Cancellation’ and the Request # we sent to you in your confirmation email. You do not owe us an explanation :)
